Children’s Choir FIRST Concert

Caerphilly Children’s Choir gave its first performance on Friday 9th December 2011 at St Martins School in Caerphilly.  The choir, which had been invited to take part in the county music service’s end-of-term concert, sang to a packed house.  They shared the programme with Twyn School Choir, county orchestral groups and soloists.

The 25-strong choir, which was formed in September, gave lively performances of two jazzy songs, “Alexander the Cat” and “The Bare Necessities” before combining with The Twyn Choir for a medley of Christmas carols and a rock’n’roll encore!  There was an enthusiastic reaction from the audience  – a great fillip for the young singers!!
